Increase VBA performance using compiled DLL files

Has anyone ever given this a try to see if this truly does speed up your code vs running functions natively:

Curious of everyones thoughts. Seems like an interesting concept if this is true that DLLs would run quicker.

So I have changed routes. Although my program is pretty much all in the userform of an excel workbook, I am going to slowly be shifting it over to a HTA file. This is exactly what I want since I can now use html and css with vba/vbscript and javascript. From what I have read it seems the performance will be much better as well.
