Hello,
I am beyond frustrated as I can not figure out a way import utf 8 file to excel using vba. I tried macro recorder and the code is very complex which is beyond my understanding as I am a beginner. I want to use file picker to open the csv. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I am happy the information worked for your needs.

My post #7 originally contained a lengthy comment to assist you. After reviewing my post I realized the information would not apply to your circumstances.
At that point I deleted that comment and simply posted "Disregard". You can ignore my post #7.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Post delete. I misinterpreted your response. Sorry about that.
