importing from Excel into Access

I have numerous budgets in Excel that I am importing into Access for consolidation. Importing the numeric data has worked fine using the TransferSpreadsheet function in Access. I am now going back and attempting to retrieve notes from each Excel spreadsheet. For some reason when I import these fields, nothing gets imported from the cells where I had written notes.

Any ideas?

Thanks

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
I imagine the data for this field is scanty, and probably not present in the first few records, no?

try putting a note like "none" in the place of a blank field when no note is present. You might get away with just doing this in the first record, my guess is that access doesn't think this field is really a field, because it doesn't see data in it, so it skips over it.
