What do you mean by "ignore" it?
Tell us exactly what you want to happen in each instance:

1. When both L413 and M413 are both blank
2. When L413 is blank, but M413 is NOT blank
3. When L413 is NOT blank, but M413 is blank

try =IF(L413="","",IF(M413="",TODAY()-L413,M413-L413))

Not really ignoring, but processing if No value

This formula counts how many days an action is past due.
1. Nothing should calculate
2. If there is no date in L then there will be no date in M
3. Count the number of days past due up to today's date.
The formula already does the third action. I need it to do #1

This does not give me any results.
That doesn't seem to make much sense.
All mole did was wrap your formula (which you said was working except for that one part), and said in L413 is blank, return blank. Otherwise, do your original calculation.
Isn't that what you want?
Can you provide an example that is not working (what is in L413 and M413, what is your expected value, and what is the formula returning for you)?
