Howdy,

I am working with the following formula in my spreadsheet.

=IF(ISBLANK(F3),"Never Reported",IF(OR(MONTH(TODAY())<MONTH(F3),YEAR(TODAY())<YEAR(F3)),"Not Reporting","Reporting"))

F3 has a formula in that cell as well which reports either a date or blank.

When a date is in the cell the formula works but when there is a blank the formula returns #VALUE !

I would like to know how I can get the Never Reported to show if the cell is Blank.

Thank you for any help!

I have a INDEX MATCH formula that is pulling in the date from Sheet B. On Sheet B the date is in this format 2/21/19 12:00 AM etc... I format the date on Sheet A to be 2/21/2019. Could this be causing the issue?

Also, I tried to use the HTML Maker it doesn't export or save anything for me to post..

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Is my last post what you would expect to see? My dates are UK format :)

I can't help with the HTML maker as I can't install it.

Hi,

What I have is the following formula that is working but showing anything within this year as Reporting. The Blanks are working ok as well. The issue is it is not breaking out the dates that are less than today. Column F is a INDEX MATCH from another Sheet that has the date format as 2/22/19 12:00 AM not straight up date 2/22/19.

Code:
=IF (F3 ="","Never Reported" , IF ( OR (MONTH ( TODAY ()) < MONTH (F3), YEAR (TODAY()) < YEAR (F3)), "Stopped Reporting", "Reporting" ))

Hmm

Did you try the formula i posted?
Your formula will never work, it is saying "if the month OR the year is less than what is in F3", so any date that has a month that is greater than Feb, regardless of the year, will say "Reporting"!

If you have dates that inc time, try this one instead

=IF(F3="","NEVER REPORTED",IF(INT(F3)=TODAY(),"REPORTING","STOPPEDREPORTING"))
