: I am seeking to have a SUM TOTAL in Sheet 1 Column A populate in Sheet 4 Column A

: Then seeking to have a SUM TOTAL in Sheet 1 Column B populate in Sheet 4 Column B minus the SUM TOTAL in Sheet 1 Column A using an IF Formula and Sheet 4 Column B should be BLANK if Sheet 1 Column B is BLANK.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Re: Seeking an if formula connecting multi sheets

in sheet4 column B1 =if(sheet1!B1="","", your formula here)

since sheet1 A1 is now in sheet4 A1 your second requirement is =sheet1 B1 minus A1

=if(sheet1!B1="","",sheet1!B1-A1) (not tested)

Re: Seeking an if formula connecting multi sheets

Can you please help me again?

The result of the formula displays the number as , example_ 356,000. Even after it's reformatted. Is there a way to display it as 356?

Re: Seeking an if formula connecting multi sheets

so the correct answer is 356,000 but you want to show it as 356

what if the answer were 1.753 or 57.9 etc

Re: Seeking an if formula connecting multi sheets

I was asking a question. How many significant figures do you want ? We can make the formula more complicated by seeing how big the answer is and processing the answer accordingly.

Re: Seeking an if formula connecting multi sheets

I miss understood. If the number is 357,000 I prefer 357. If the number was 24,000 I only need 24. If it is 1,000,000 I only need 1000..... I'm still working on it.
