Hi There, I am trying to automate a report. I am trying to give specific criteria to 5 different things.

Here is the formula critera

=if(c2= 5 - "Very Satisfied",5)
=if(c2=4,4)
=if(c2=3,3)
=if(c2=2,2)
=if(c2= 1 - "Very Dissatisfied",1)

I need to combine all of if formulas into one big formula. Can someone help me?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Code:
=IF(C2= "5 - Very Satisfied",5,IF(C2=4,4,IF(C2=3,3,IF(C2=2,2,IF(C2= "1 - Very Dissatisfied",1)))))

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

See if this does what you want. If you still need help, please provide a few more examples of what could be in C2 and what result you expect from those examples.

=LEFT(C2,FIND(" ",C2&" "))+0

Or possibly you might want
=IF(C2="","",LEFT(C2,FIND(" ",C2&" "))+0)
