Not sure how to construct a formula to check for between date ranges for any year, not just this year. I need to return a specific value if today's date is on or after Oct 1, but before Jan 1, and a separate value if not. Any help is appreciated.

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
If your date field is a valid date field (and let's say it is in cell A1), just check the month number, i.e.
Code:
=IF(MONTH(A1)>=10,"value to return","")

I hate it when I overly complicate things. I was getting all wrapped up in how to differentiate with the year changes, and completely forgot that the months have unique numbers. Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction!

No worries! It happens to all of us sometimes!
