if based on cell color

Hi
Lets say A1 cell is green. I want to check the color of A1 and type Green in cell B1. Is that possible? and if A1 color is red then B1 will read "Red"

Not with worksheet Excel functions, only with VBA.
Worksheet Excel functions can only look at values, not at formatting.

Are you interested in a VBA solution?
If so, please define the following conditions:
- what range you want this to happen to
- what will initiate the VBA to run (run manually, or automatically based on some condition - if automatic, please define your condition)
