Hello,

I need help with "vlookup" and "If" formula together under "Deal Type ID" below. I need to assign a value to " Wholesale" if there is "D" in "deal type" column "A" and the vlookup Lender Name to look up either " Outside Finance" or "Cash"

First Sheet:
<colgroup><col><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
Deal Type

Lender Name
Deal Type ID

F
Net Direct Auto Sales

D
Net Direct Auto Sales

F
WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES

C
WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES

F
WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES

</tbody>
Second worksheet:
<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
Lender Name

Deal Type

A+ FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Outside Finance

AAFES FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Outside Finance

ABILENE TEACHERS FCU
Outside Finance
</tbody>
Okay.. use below formula in first sheet, in cell c2 and drag down:-

=IF(A2="D",IFERROR(VLOOKUP($B2,Sheet2!$A:$B,2,0),"Lender not found"),"Deal type not D")
