How do you detect if text in a cell starts with a leading apostrophe ? TIA.

That really doesn't answer the question of what you are trying to address - cells that begin with a comma, or cells that begin with an apostrophe.

It is the apostrophe. That routine showed up when searching for help, and might have been some use.
