How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Its pretty much excel....just like docs...so all the same formulas and scripts work
While it is similar to Excel, it is NOT the same as Excel.
One of the biggest differences is that Google Sheets does NOT support VBA.

That is what we ask people to be sure to clearly mention if they are looking for a Google Sheets answer, but an Excel solution may not work for them in that case.

Sorry, I do not know Google Sheets either, so I really cannot help you with that. This is an Excel forum, so most users here know Excel, and only a smaller subset of users have used Google Sheets.
I was just clarifying for you that Excel and Google Sheets are NOT the same thing, and sometimes there are NOT comparable solutions between the two.
