Hi,

I have looked on a few forums and cant seem to find the answer to this. I was sent a CSV and when i changed it to a macro enabled workbook I keep getting this message every time I go to save it, how do I turn it off permanently? Also there are no options in the connections or edit links area making it look like there isnt any external links and there are no named ranges specified

Back into an answer in Excel
Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
The external data can be in
  • formulas (visible through Data --> Edit Links)
  • named ranges
  • macros called by buttons and shapes
  • conditional formatting
  • pivot tables linked to external sources
Download this link from Bill Manvilles site to help find and remove them

Thanks but its not in any of those as it was a flat CSV file first then i made a pivot table from that CSV and that is all that has been done to it

You can also try
select Edit Links in the Queries & Connections group on the Data tab>>Click Startup Prompt.>>Click the Don't display the alert and don't update automatic links option.

I figured it out and my sincere apologies. I had the file saved as Macro Enabled Workbook template. Apologies

You can also try
select Edit Links in the Queries & Connections group on the Data tab>>Click Startup Prompt.>>Click the Don't display the alert and don't update automatic links option.

Sorry for joining this conversation however, my problem prompted me to ask how to solve it

Sorted.
It was connected with Mr Excel xl2bb.xlam and in trying to locate the file in my system came across the offending file by removing the xl2bb from add-ins.
That gave me a prompt whether to delete or not and i deleted and problem solved.
Now i need to see if I can download the add-in
Thanks to any who looked to help
