Hi,

I am creating hyperlinks in a Excel file where if I have to creat a hyperlink, the dialog box is extremely slow to put the link details. It was running fine yesterday but today I am facing the slow speed.

Please Help.

Thanks

If your spreadsheet is 180 MB, and that's all data, let me suggest that you have outgrown Excel. I start to look for alternatives if a workbook exceeds about 30 MB, and I would be very nervous about a 180 MB beast.

Every version of Excel has a limit of how much memory it can address -- see link: http://www.decisionmodels.com/memlimits.htm
If you have exceed that limit, you will be writing to the swap file for ever. That slows you down.

Without knowing more about your setup I can't say more, except take a look at Access for storing your data. You can use Excel to pull back filtered records, which will still let you analyse the data but you won't necessarily hit the size limits.
