how to develop macro to download report from online website in excel format

I am very new to the macros.I want to know can we develop a macro to download report from online website.based on the names which i can select form drop-down list,i want to download same reports for each name.can i do this using macros. Please help me to do this.

Firefox is not a Microsoft app and therefore is MUCH more tricky - I cant find anything that can actually do it.

ok let say after login the page if i want go to specific report how can i add it to the code? after loading that report i want to download load that report persons name wise.I have name list in excel file how can i develop this file to looking excel and download report persons name wise.i am beginner to macros please help me to do this

Without the HTML code I cant do anything - You need to read through the code and actually work out what its doing rather than just getting us to write the code for you. You need to read through the details on that previous link. HTML interaction is not an area where beginners start learning.

Using Firefox , you should try selenium. It can do web automation with fewer lines of code.
