How do you modify the widths of the bars in a histogram that has unequal intervals

I have created a histogram for data that is collected in unequal intervals (grouped data). I determined the frequencies and used the bar chart. I want to change the widths of some of the bars to different widths. I can find the following -- I click on one of the bars and it shows a width on the ribbon, however, this is grayed out. I am not sure this would even get me to the charting that I want to do. Is there a way that I can individually change the width of the bars in the graphic?
