I have a workbook with 40 or so worksheet tabs in it. How do I extract the names of these different tabs into, lets say Column A?? Anyone??

Adam: Not at all, the more the merrier (from my perspective anyway). I was kind of butting in myself.

Bingo, this code works like a charm. Thanks.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Jonmo: Yes, thanks, that's much simpler. I use that for smaller spreadsheets, but find that when others have to use a spreadsheet with 40+ tabs, an index page is helpful where I've grouped the tab names by subject, put boxes around them etc. When I hit 150 tabs, I find that even if I created the spreadsheet, it gets a bit daunting when you back a year later and try to recall tab names. Nevertheless, your suggested approach is definitely better for most spreadsheets. Thanks.
