I try to use a boolean generated as a result of an excel formula in a cell for an if then statement in vba, but I don't get it working in any way.

Tried things like

Dim flag as Boolean
If range("inputflag") = "TRUE" then
flag = True
Else
flag = False
End if

flag = range("inputflag")

flag = range("inputflag").value

substituting range("inputflag") with cells("A1") etc. etc.

Nothing works, what am I overlooking?
