Hello All:

I created a file with several macros and now I want to hide the macros. What I mean is when I send the file to somebody else, that person can click on the macros icon in the developer bar (excel 2007) and they can see all the macros Ive created. How do I hide them???

Thank you all very much

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
In the Visual Basic Editor, Tools > VBA Project Properties, Protection tab, tick Lock Project For Viewing and Enter a password. Save, close and re-open the workbook to see the effect.

Note that a determined person will be sable to crack the password.

In the VB editor, with your project active, click "Tools/VBAProject Properties" on the menu bar, click the "Protection" tab on the dialog box that appears, check mark the "Lock project for viewing" checkbox and then give it a password you want forget. This is not 100% secure and someone who wants to break-in can find a way to do so, but it is the best you can do inside Excel.

Yes, that helps protect a little but its not really what I want. Its not the VBA that I'm worried about because that is protected. What I want is in Excel, if you go to the View Tab, at the far right there is a Macros Icon. If somebody clicks there, it will show all the macros ive created, and even the the VBA is protected, it will allow the user to run the macro. How can I hide that?
