HELP !! I got hit by Cryptolocker

Not sure how this happened, or when I got the virus. However, while I was on this site at 7:30AM EST, I was hit. Now all my documents, pictures, etc., are encrypted and I can't open anything.

Anyone have any advise to resolve this other than paying the "ransom"?

... somehow it "put it's seed" in my back up OSB sticks also!!!. Amongst other things it wiped out most of my Excel stuff. Luckily I overdo it a bit with the codes I post and files I upload over the file sharing Box . So I am relying a bit on my Threads here as a backup currently to get at many of my old codes!!

… All the advice I have had so far is that once you are hit, that’s it. I have been told it can drop it’s seed in and then sometime later do its it’s dirty work.
