Please help. I copy from one workbook and paste into another. Instead of pasting the data it pastes the text "Command disabled cannot print the screen."

Has anyone ever encountered this? How do I fix it?

Thanks!!

It happens when you have another program running that disables copy paste. I would run Excel by itself without any other applications running and see if that solves it. You may need to restart and then start Excel separately.

In my case, I was running a training program video in the background. The training disabled copy paste. I stopped running this program and the issue went away.

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
