Having a Table with a Different First Row Formula

Hello,

So I have a table with two columns: one with the year and the other with savings. The first year row is one formula: Cost Per Year - LED Cost Per Year. The rows following that are a different formula: Previous Row*Inflation Rate + Previous Row. However, the table wants all the rows to have the same formula, so I am running into #VALUE cells instead of what I really want. How can I get excel not to make the first row formula the same as all the other ones?

I think you can enter the same formula in all rows, then change the formula in the first row:

I tried that, and it just changes all the formulas to the one in the first row.
