Google Maps Data

Hello there,

I’m not sure this is possible (or even strictly legal), but I’ll ask in the vain hope it is.

Is there an automated way to collect data from Google maps into Excel?

I have a starting point (location/post code) in Cell A2, and a destination in Cell B2 (location/post code).

I need to return the travel time, and distance, in any other cell (C2 and D2 would be ideal).

Is this remotely possible?

Thank you.

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
If you can get Eastings / Northings from your postcodes then you could do a direct line of sight calculation for distance, then divide that by speed to approximate travel times

Hi Mole.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunatly I don't have access to Eastings/Northings data, even if I could I would looking for fairly accurate time/distance data.
