I just noticed google ads appearing between the first and second posts on threads. Are they new?

There's always been little ones, I believe. just text. why - are you seeing large ads?

Thanks for the quick reply, Tracy.

I'm just seeing the little ones. I've only just noticed them!

must be a slow day :)

If they have always been there, I guess I never noticed them before either!

I've always noticed them. I know they have been there quite sometime, but the ads do not show up when I check from my phone.

Shows you how observant us MVPs are!

What browser do you use Colin? I use MF and there's an addon available called 'Ad Block Plus'. That's why I never knew they even existed; the addon blocks them all out. You can subscribe to different ad block subscriptions and change the filters yourself.

Edit:
It doesn't block ALL ads, but adsense is definitely covered by the filter. The big banner ad you see at the top of the MrE pages is still for instance...

ads are how Bill pays for the HUGE server this site needs. Without the ads.. well, we would be running on the older server with all its problems.....

Do the ads generate income through impressions or clicks?
If impresions then I'll make a point of disabling ABP for MrE... :)

We've detected that you are using an adblocker.
