Generate list of employee names from column

My GoogleFu seems to be failing me on this one. I have a list of tasks in column "A" and employee names in column "B". These names repeat down the list. How can I generate a list of all employees in this task list?
 
I read somewhere that this list could also be sorted alphabetically using the "small" function. Is that possible? Yes

What formula did they use?
What version of Excel are you using; you can edit your profile.
