function combo. median and others

I have 3 columns. Thousands of stock tickers, their corresponding free cash flow yields, and their price to economic book values. I have one cell in which I need to find the median free cash flow yield for all tickers with price to economic book values greater than 1.

Thanks for the help... I am not too fresh on excel and would appreciate any input.

Assuming that B2:B100 contains the free cash flow yield, and C2:C100 contains the price to economic book values, try...

=MEDIAN(IF(C2:C100>1,B2:B100))

...confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER. Adjust the range accordingly.
