Greetings
I enter a formula to join text and number from 2 cells into one cell like ="Seven is "&7 in Sheet 1 and if I enter this in Sheet 2, it gives the #VALUE! error. It only seems to do it in this one particular file. I have tried the same formula in other files on the same laptop and on three other computers in the office and it works everywhere else. Excel 2007 is on all the machines. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a million.

Yep, remember the Transition Options. A good thing to keep in the back of your mind.
These are options for compatibility with lotus.

They do wierd stuff.....lots of wierd stuff....

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Hello Everyone,
First of all i would like to thank you all for your time and effort.

I have similar problem that when i'm using a formula =IF(Options!$J4:$O4="","","Yes") on one workbook it works perfectly but it wouldn't on another it return #VALUE!.
Both workbooks has macros and are .xlsm files

OS Excel 2010 win7

Thanks in advance.

The Transition options in Excel 2007+ are found in
Options - Advanced - Scroll all the way to the bottom.

Hi Jonmo1

Thanks, I found this answer on another feed for another query. I have the same issue where the the formula does not work but it looks like this is not the solution for me.

I have a sheet which works on one computer in the work office but when I move the formulas do not work. Very annoying

You should probably make another thread then...
And be more descriptive about the "formulas do not work" part...
Do you get an error? What error?
Do you get the wrong result? What result DO you get, what result did you expect?
