I need a Formula To Give The Total Amount Of Times The Same Number Is In Column AE please.

Can you share me some actual data that you have in Col AE, say the first 10 rows ? (and did you type the formula in, or copy and paste from my post ?) maybe worth checking it.

BTW the data is not actual numbers they do have letters in also, for example FPEGR179, FPEGR097. NDA.....

I imagine it could be created into a UDF, but I've never really used them myself.

Why would you want a UDF? It will be less efficient.
BTW all you really appear to need is:

=COUNTIF(AE:AE,AE2)
