Hi All,

I have a spreadsheet with a formula I tried dragging down, and even though it copies the formula correctly, the results remain the same in the entire column. I tried F9 / checking formula settings were set to automatic but that did not sort the problem either. Anyone able to help?

Thanks!

You're welcome, I'm glad it's worked to some extent.

I can't think why you might be getting 00/01/1900. Can you take a screenshot and upload it to a website (I use Photobucket) so we can see what is contained in one of the cells that shows the value 00/01/1900 and which cells the formula within is referencing?

Sorry to state the obvious but are the cells which show 00/01/1900 definitely set to 'Date' format?

The only thing I can think of why Excel would return 00/01/1900 is if the customer ID has no order date, thus there is a blank cell, which means Excel will always display 00/01/1900.

Can Excel fill bagel flavors?
You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
It doesn't matter if the cell is formatted as date, it is what the underlying value is.
@SpreadsheetGirl if you put the formula
=ISNUMBER(B2)
in an empty column (changing the B2 to your first cell with a date) and drag down do you get TRUE or FALSE for the 30% coming up incorrectly?
