Formula Bar

Hello everyone...

I know this has been asked many times before, but so far I have not been able to find the threads. Can anyone help me?

I am trying to hide the formula bar in my workbook using VBA. I know that I can uncheck the box under View for the Fotrmula Bar, but I would like to hide this automatically once the workbook is opened, and make it visible for subsequent applications.

How do I do this?

I think I found the code I was missing....

Private Sub Workbook_Activate()
    ActiveWindow.DisplayHeadings = False
    Application.DisplayFormulaBar = False
    Application.ExecuteExcel4Macro "SHOW.TOOLBAR(""Ribbon"",False)"
End Sub

and

Private Sub Workbook_Deactivate()
        'ActiveWindow.DisplayHeadings = True
        Application.DisplayFormulaBar = True
        Application.ExecuteExcel4Macro "SHOW.TOOLBAR(""Ribbon"",True)"
End Sub

But now the issue is that once I change worksheets, the labels on the columns and rows appear again.

I am STUMPED!!!!

PLEASE HELP.
