Ok, I did a brief search through the forum (flame me if necessary), and although I did find something similar to what I'm looking for... it's not exactly what I need.

Using Access 07, I've put together a table of data with about... 7400 records - each one has a specific ID number.

I've then designed a form with all text boxes bound to the various columns of data. I want the user to be able to type in the ID they are requesting, hit the search button and BOOM, all the info is there. Everything I'm coming across is saying to use combo boxes, but with as many records as I have... that wouldn't be a viable option.

Please Assist.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Sorry, I'm now totally confused.

What is the problem?

As far as I can see that form is perfectly fine, apart from having no data.

One thing though, is the combobox bound or unbound?

ie does it have a Control Source property?

It's because I've set the form to bring up a new line when it first opens, so that it opens blank. Once you type/ or choose a store, it works fine. The combo box is unbound. I was trying to make it without that last week, I had a search button near the store number field. So I didn't waste anyone's time anymore, I went this route. However, the only issue left is those check boxes.

What issue with what checkboxes?

Your form doesn't have any.

hahaha, it does. It's near those 2 grayed areas in the middle of the top. I started a new thread on that to not sway the information on this one to another topic.

Well you've got to admit it's not the clearest of screen shots.:)

I take it you mean the 2 fuzzy squares below and sort of to the left of the close button?

I did see the other thread but I didn't want to intrude, I'll have another look but I'm afraid to say I wasn't really following what you wanted to do.

Did you explain in words what it is?

eg I want 2 checkboxes the user can check to select which company the store was part of before the merger

yea, we got it. It was a silly mistake on my part. They are there to show something, not to be changed.

Yeah I saw that.

Don't know if your interested, or if I mentioned it but you might have been able to sort the combobox/textbox thing by just converting the combobox to a textbox.

Simple as that.

Well it should be.

Maybe.

Probably best to leave it.:)
