Footnote in Excel

I have to add a footnote in Excel which exceeds 255 signs. How can I do that? Are there any other solutions?

do you mean a footer which is printed on each page ?

Hi

I’m sure excel classes footers etc the same as cells in many way ie restrictions.
Footers and not large text fields. If that’s what you need I suggest using cell A1 and A2 and format the page setup to reflect your needs will be simpler in the long run

BTW Cell restrictions

Column width 255 characters
Length of cell contents (text) 32,767 characters. Only 1,024 display in a cell; all 32,767 display in the formula bar.
Colors in a workbook 56
Cell styles in a workbook 4,000

Yes, I mean footers. The problem is that the footers are limited upto 255 charackters. But I need twice as much chareckters in my footers. I assume it might be a solution. Please let me know. Thanks.
