First friday calculation

Hi,

I tried to search but did not find any post regarding the requirements i have

a) calcuting the date of first Friday of a year, my input is year value.

b) calculating the date of 'Good friday' of a year, my input is year value.

Could anybody help.

Much appreciated for an early response

I think it has more to do with Astronomy than Christianity. 14% (0.14) must be related to the periodicity of the moon or the tilt of the earth.

According to the following website, the tilt is 5 degrees, which is about 1.3%. I couldn't easily find anything about its periodicity, but 28/365 is only about 7.5%

Thanks a lot every one ..The ester solution is pretty peculiar..that i admit ...i am keeping it any way for i have no other option, but for last five years it has worked properly..:)):)).....
for Friday cklaculation i am using Barry's calculation ..thanks you barry fot that smollie..:)
