good evening,

I hope someone can help me?

I have a workbook sheet 2 contains lots of data.... I would like to be able to find anything on sheet 2 that contains a specific word ( ie Adobe)

This would than display the data on sheet 1. A bit like vlookup, but vlookup as you are aware only picks up one line ...
I need this to display anything with the specific word on sheet 1 row by row.

IE
sheet 1 cell a2 adobe

sheet 2 would then find all the data that contains 'adobe' and display the contents of that row(s) into sheet 1 (a3:z1000)

thank you for your time

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
many thanks,
that sort of works... however the prob is that if I search for 'sheet' it does not display everything that contains that word. Please see
VBissue
which I hope will give you more info?

morning Fluff,

The file comes via microsofts 'PSR' Problem Steps Recorder (called Problems Steps Recorder in Windows 7), is a program that helps you troubleshoot a problem on your device by recording the exact steps you took when the problem occurred. You can then send this onto ???? for help to resolve.
Anyhoo, I totally understand why you would not want to open . I thought by sending this to you, it would do a better job then me trying to explain...but I shall try.

Thanks to your #31 post, it seems to work OK. But although if I input 'hell' into b1 it does not pull all the applicable data contains the word . so if I use hell , i would like all the applicable words that contain 'hell' to be displayed on sheet1 (search worksheet tabname) that are in the worktabs sheet 2 (pcode worksheet tab name) to sheet10.

I hope this is more of what you requested & i thank you for your help & advice.

Using the file you supplied in post#30, if I search for day it returns lines that contain the word day like this
