can you tell me how to create UDF function in excel? i copy your code paste in coding window and run nor result.
kindly tell me step by step this.

Did you paste the code in a new module ?
Did you use the formula as provided

=sumbycolour(A1,A1:A500)

Assuming of course you are checking column A for a color shown in A1 ?
