Hi.

I have a spreadsheet like the below.

Each of the staff in column A teach subjects, some the same, some different. When plotting what they're each teachig each day below the date columns id like to be able to filter their names by what subjects they teach.

So if on the 2nd April I'm looking for a french teacher I can see my options. If that all makes sense?

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
If you could give me a formula to do exactly the same, basically from the data validation list in A2 I want to generate the list of who teaches that subject. That way I can then conditionally format column A with the matches
