Fill down cells referencing every nth cell

Hi,

I want to reference the cell A6 in cell W6. So I use =A6. I want to reference every 3rd cell so the next cell I want to reference is A9.
W7 = A9
W8 = A12 etc

How do I fill down W6 to reference every 3rd cell?

Put this formula in W6 and drag down:

=OFFSET($A$6,(ROWS($W$6:$W6)-1)*3,0)

Thanks for the reply. Not doing what I need. Cells don't reference any of the values in column A. Thanks anyway.
