File not working after update

Hi guys,

I prepared a small program that all my staff has been using for years, but since the last update of MS Excel, one by one, they are not able to access the file anymore.

The message we get is
"Excel Couldn't start last time safe mode could help you troubleshoot the problem ...."

Both options Yes or No cause the shout-down of Excel which works with any other file but the one I prepared.
Today happened on my PC as well.

I have 2 questions

1. How can I access the data inside the file?
2. Is there any way to fix the problem?
