Failure rate after service

Good morning,

I have been asked to create a report which looks at when a machine has a call come in after a service. so for example it would need to look like:

A1: Site Name
B1: machine number
C1: Date of last service
D1: the date of the next failure from a selected list.
E1: an auto sum that I will put in once D1 is completed.

The problem is a Vlookup wont cut it at there are over 50 thousand fields and I am not sure where to begin. My knowledge in VBA is starting to grow but I need more practice.

Any help you can give would be amazing!

Thank you for trying but it does not seem to have worked.

At first I thought it had because it did produce a number of dates

Customer 1
01-Aug-2013 11:01
11468872
30/07/2014
363.18

This would look as if the machine has not had a breakdown for almost a year. When I went to check the other sheet it has shown alot more calls appearing in-between those dates.

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Can't you sort Sheet2 by date ascending? The formula returns the first item that's greater than the Service Date.
