Hiya all,
I have a list of license plates along with the state in one column so it looks like this...
<TABLE style="WIDTH: 69pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=92 border=0><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 69pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 3364" width=92><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; WIDTH: 69pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=92 height=17>215TFD-CO</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" height=17>ZNEJNE</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" height=17>6NPN589-CA</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" height=17>4HOLLIE-CA</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" height=17>5YBD012-CA</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" height=17>6P04444-CA</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl63 style="BORDER-RIGHT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-TOP: windowtext; BORDER-LEFT: windowtext 0.5pt solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: windowtext 0.5pt solid; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" height=17>ANF2509-AZ</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
I want to extricate just the license plate information, which normally is everything before the last three characters. However, sometimes the officers are not inputting the state of the car license plate so I have mixed data.
Is there anyway to extricate the first 6-7 digits and place it in a new column also placing the last 3-4 digits in a different new column?
Sounds impossible to me, but you all are geniuses! So if anybody can help me you all can!
Thanks,
Tara
