Hi everyone.

First post to the forum, hoping someone can help me with this issue. I have searched the web for hours and also this forum and can't seem to locate the solution but apologies if I've overlooked it somewhere.

I accept that it is probably a relatively basic question but I am fairly new to VBA and still learning.

I have a pivot table in Excel with a list of items in the row field. I would like to extract this information (not the data itself but the row headings) to use it as a list for data validation in a dropdown using VBA.

Can someone help me with this please? Also, an explanation as well as code would be greatly appreciated so that I can understand it for future use.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
