Expiration of Workbook

I want to create a Workbook which expires at a certain date and deletes itself. I'm creating a macro and using the .KILL function in the Workbook_Open procedure. However, is it possible for someone to open the Workbook and bypass running the macro in Excel 2007 ?

Yes macro's were completely disabled the Workbook.open event will not execute.
