Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
didn't you already ask that? Maybe I'm not understanding your question. Pls be more specific than 3 or 4 word questions. Maximize before/after I close? I've tried both. Doesn't matter whether max/min before or after.

Yes, I asked, but you didn't describe what happened. Since you don't want to let me see your desktop, I have to go my descriptions...
If you maximize the excel window then save - what happens? You said the window moves (I"m assuming that's what you meant when you said it was still a humdinger). So I asked if the window unmaximizes.

Are you sure you started Excel in safe mode? Hold down the CTRL key and start Excel - you should get a prompt to start in safe mode. Choose YES. Now try saving a file. Does it still move the Excel window on your desktop?

"If you maximize the excel window then save - what happens? " >> I already answered that. See above "Doesn't matter whether max/min before or after." "Are you sure you started Excel in safe mode? " >> Yes, I'm sure. See a previous answer where I answered that: "Excel "on the move" No. I went to that link, and tried the safe mode start for Excel. The problem was unaffected. Every excel file I save (with or without changes) moves to another location on screen after close. No other files behave this way. " So that didn't make a difference. Incidentally, holding down the shortcut key and opening any excel doesn't give me a safe mode prompt for any excel file. ****In the end, it's any excel file on my desktop, on save, with or without changes, and unrelated to minimize/maximize before or after save, moves to upper left of my screen on close.**** Remain open to solutions.
