Excel Scatter Chart

I have Excel scatter chart showsing stock weight% on X axis and stock return% on Y axis. I'd like to plot the background of this scatter chart using different colors. For example, the background with the stocks with more than 5% return will be pink, then the background with the stocks with 2- 5% return blue etc.

Is there any way to do this in Excel?

When I select A1:C8, what should be in each series? Mine looks like below and the scatter chart is not correct:

Series X

Name $B$1
X Values $A$2:$A$8
Y Values $B$2:$B$8


Series Y

Name $C$1
X Values $A$2:$A$8
Y Values $C$2:$C$8

Is there anyway to make the scatter points different sizes?

For instance, I would like the scatter points to be larger for stocks with higher market values and small for those with low market values?

You could do it manually but better try a bubble chart. It does just that.
