Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone would know if there is a software available to make Excel file run faster ? and reliable 100%.

I have some HUGE files and it take too much time to load and operate.

Thank you. Serge.

Excel Facts

Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Joe,

After reading their web site , to your knowledge do you think it would speed up Excel ?

Rorya,

I do agree with you, a redesign need to be done, but this file, to me is my development and I just keep going and add new ideas as I go, I will later clean it up.

Thanks for answering.

I have no idea. I have never used the program, nor do I know anyone else who has used it. I just did a Google search on the name you provided.

I would never base an assessment based solely on what a company trying to sell it has to say about it. Performance boost statistics are often inflated, especially if they say it can increase performance up to "X" times. That implies that your experience will most likely be significantly less than their "up to" limit. You need to ask yourself questions like "How much of an increase makes it worth it to you? Would you settle for 50%?, etc.".

The only way to know if it will work for you is to try it out. It looks like they have a free trial download. The best thing to do would be download it and try it out for yourself.

You might also want to look at FastExcel from DecisionModels as it will identify bottlenecks in your workbook.

Thank you all for the help, but I think I am gone leave it the way it is, and get Excel 2010 with a better computer.

I don't trust this company, and especially if you guys " Excel expert " never hear about it, that's a good reason for me not to do it, I trust your judgement.

Best Regards... Serge.

Just to clarify, I am not judging the company either way. It could make a significant difference, I don't know, I have never tried it. I never have had reason to try anything like this, because I don't have any Excel projects with that much data (we use Access and SQL for our bigger projects).

If I was in your situation, if you are still not happy with performance after "boosting" your system, I might be tempted to give the free trial a try. What have you got to lose?
