I don't know if this is an Excel or a Macbook problem.

Sometimes when I enter data into a cell, the data won't show unless I either highlight a different cell or I flip over to another program/app and then back to Excel. I would understand if this were an older Macbook, but this thing is barely a month old.

Are there any known issues with Excel for Macs?

"...the data won't show unless I either highlight a different cell or I flip over to another program/app and then back to Excel..."

So if you wanted to type 12345 into a cell, as you're typing 1 2 3 4 5 those characters are not appearing on screen ?

That is correct. They won't appear until I hit Enter and move to another cell.

What version of Excel?

If you're in the Insiders program, there are sometimes glitches, and this sounds like a glitch from not too long ago. Try to update Excel to get around this.
