Excel inputs numbers when I'm scrolling using cursor

Hi,

I'm using Excel 2013 and whenever I'm scrolling through data using the cursor keys, occasionally it inputs a number into a cell.

This is causing me a massive headache, as I'm working on really big models and as I'm scrolling through data it (very quickly) inserts a number often overwriting formulas.

I've heard that it is a setting that needs to be changed, but I've looked for the answer on here and on google, but I've found nothing.

I'm using Windows 8.1 and Excel 13.

Thanks in advance for any advice how to stop this.

Ryan
