Just curious if anyone has ran into this issue before.

My work computer does not allow me to open my macro enabled workbook. My IT department is not sure why. However I am able to open it on my personal compute. Does anyone have any idea: Is there something wrong with excel on my computer? Is there some security settings that may be preventing me from opening? Is there any workaround that i can do to get into this workbook?

This is the message I get:

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Yes. The file extension was not coded properly in the Macro.

How are you moving the file to your personal computer ?
Assuming its an exact copy then it is unlikely to be a file corruption or a macro generated error.
Can you try putting it on the C drive of your workbook and see if it works there ? (This is to rule out issues with the length of the folder-file name length and any Network related issues)

Hey Alex,

I have the file on an external hard drive. So I am simply trying to open it from there. On my personal computer it opens right up. On my work computer not only does it not open but I'm not even able to copy or move it to my local C drive.

Thanks,
