Recently I experienced the following behavior in a few of my Excel files:
The file may have a simple expression, let's say concatenating columns from a pivot table into another column outside of the pivot table.
If I change the expression, the displayed result is from the old expression. For example, if pivot table is
Orange,Pear,Apple
and the expression is use is a1&b1&c1 I get the following result
OrangePearApple
However, if I change the expression to C1&A1&B1
instead of
AppleOrangePear
I get the initial result OrangePearApple
It seems Excel will not display the correct result unless I close and reopen the file. CAn anyone tell me if the only fix for this is to reinstall Excel. FYI I'm using Excel 2010 with the Power Query add-in.
