Hi
I don't know if it's related but recently I got a new computer with Windows 10 and Excel 2016
Sometimes when i open excel I can't use macros from an addin protected by a password

when i open the vba project using the password afterwards I can use the macros

on my previous computer i didn't encounter that problem

thanks

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
First of all thank you
The add in was added through the add in excel folder (AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns)
following your question I've added this folder as a trusted source in the trust center

has I said sometimes the add in works and sometimes don't so I currently don't know if this solution helped me or not

Is it a known problem? I never used to have this problem in my last computer

MS strives to increase security of software to reduce the chance of hackers using it as a vector for an attack. If its an add-in issue then I would approach the supplier or their forum to see if it as known issue with their product and the MS changes. Chamges like this I would say you can benefit from a total system shutdown and restart

That's an addin that was prepared by me
So I just use my password on the addin when I want it to activate, I'm just trying to avoid this solution because it's not convenient and that way I can't give my add in to others

If you go to the Add-Ins folder in Windows Explorer and right-click the Add-In file to look at its properties, on the 'General' tab is there a 'Security' option at the bottom to 'Unblock' it? It might not be the case if you have developed the Add-In, but worth checking.

Hi, thank you for your answer, I went to appdata/roaming/Microsoft/addin right clicked and chose properties, on general tab there is no security and on security tab there is no unblock button what should I do?
